Final Image Preview
Take a look at the image we’ll be creating. You can view the final image preview below or a larger version here.
Step 1
First create a new document that is 1920 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high at a resolution of 300 pixels per inch. For this project I will use a texture that I like very much. Now, move the texture into your document.

Step 2
Create a new layer and fill it with #241300, set the layer to Soft Light.

Step 3
Now add more stuff, I downloaded some great Bittbox Watercolor Brushes 2.

Step 4
Next create a new layer again. Then select another brush. I used the 20th Bittbox Brush. Set brush diameter to 800 px and use blue #000cff for the color. After that, rotate the layer as in the image below.

Step 5
Repeat step 4, now use 13th brush with 1000 px for diameter and green #00ff3c for the color.

Step 6
Repeat again step 4, now use first brush with 700 px for diameter and yellow #ffde00 for the color.

Step 7
Now create a new layer on top and make your foreground and background : #FFFFFF and #000000. Now go to Filter > Render > Fibers use 13 for the variance and 4 for the Strength.

Step 8
Next rotate the layer. After that double click the layer to open the Layer Style box. In the Layer Style’s first screen set the Fill Opacity to 60% and Blend Mode to Darken, then add a Gradient Overlay, use the rainbow colors.

Step 9
Then select Lasso Tool (L) and create a selection like I did. Now we run Select > Modify > Feather and set the Feather Diameter to 100 pixels. After that go to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal Selection.

Step 10
Create a new layer on top, then go to Filter > Render > Clouds. Change the Blend Mode to Vivid Light.

Step 11
For creating this illustration we need an iPhone picture, you can download my full layered psd iPhone. Import the image into Photoshop and place it into your document. After that duplicate this layer and go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. Use 43 for the Angle and 155 for Distance. Make sure that the blurry layer is behind the normal layer.

Step 12
Next double-click the blurry layer to enter the Blending Options menu. In the Layer Style’s first screen set the Fill Opacity to 70% and add a Outer Glow. The images below will give you the exact information you need.

Step 13
Next we’ll make the reflection. You do this by first duplicating the phone and moving them upside down. Go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical and position the reflection under the original. Add a mask to the new layer, then using a black to white gradient (you can just select the default gradient by hitting D on your keyboard to set the colors back to default), create a nice fade.

Step 14
Now look for your flower image, or download this flower picture and paste it into the document behind the phone layer. Select the black background of flower using Magic Wand Tool (W) and press delete to extract the flower from the background. Resize the flower and you should have something that looks like the screenshot below.

Step 15
Open Illustrator, and using the Pen Tool (P), draw two different curved lines like the ones below.

Step 16
Using the Blend Tool, click on the edge of the 1st line and then click on the 2nd line. It will create a line between the two lines. With the Blend Tool selected, go to Object > Blend > Blend Options. There, change the Spacing to Specified Steps and put 5 steps.

Step 17
Copy the blend and paste it in to Photoshop as a Smart Object.

Step 18
Double click the layer to open the Layer Style box. Add Drop Shadow and Outher Glow to the line layer, then add a Gradient Overlay, use the rainbow colors.

Step 19
Duplicate the line layer and now we have two line layers with the second layer is behind the first layer. Turn the visibility of second layer to make the second layer invisible. Next activate first line layer, hold down Ctrl and click on the iPhone layer to load selection and then go to Layer > Layer Mask > Hide Selection.

Step 20
We’re close to finished. Now select the second line layer and make it visible. Add layer mask to this layer and clear some lines.

Step 21
The last step, add some icon sources, in this case some iPhone rounded icons, I’m using this one.

Wow…. it’s so cool!!!
